What is NTC®? FitLine’s Nutrient Transport Concept explained

NTC® nutrient transport with micronutrients and a DNA structure

What does NTC® mean?

NTC® stands for Nutrient Transport Concept—a proprietary concept developed by PM-International AG, the company behind FitLine. According to PM-International, NTC® is intended to deliver nutrients “exactly when they are needed and where they are needed—at cellular level, from the inside and outside”.

NTC® is a registered trademark (WIPO Madrid International Registration No. 1495693, filed on 18 September 2019 by PM-International AG). It represents the company’s philosophy of combining carefully selected micronutrients with modern formulation technologies.

What makes FitLine products special?

FitLine products are manufactured in Germany according to GMP standards—the same quality benchmark used in the pharmaceutical industry. Each batch is independently tested by ELAB Analytic GmbH, and all FitLine food supplements are listed on the Kölner Liste®—the batch-testing programme of the German Sport University Cologne that screens products for possible doping substances.

This combination of high-quality manufacturing and independent safety testing is one of the main reasons professional athletes trust FitLine.

The Optimal Set: three products, one daily routine

The FitLine Optimal Set consists of three coordinated products designed to cover your nutrient needs throughout the day:

  • FitLine Basics (morning): Contains vitamin B1, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin E, provitamin A, the trace element selenium and fibre. It provides the nutrient foundation your body needs for a good start to the day.
  • FitLine Activize (morning / before physical activity): Formulated with B vitamins and natural extracts to support your energy metabolism and performance.
  • FitLine Restorate (evening): Contains calcium, magnesium, selenium, copper and manganese—minerals that contribute to normal muscle function and support recovery during sleep.

Trusted by professional athletes

More than 1,000 elite athletes from over 85 disciplines and 40 countries use FitLine products. FitLine is the Official Sports Nutrition Partner of the ATP Tour—the world’s leading professional men’s tennis tour. The brand also supplies the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB), the German Cycling Federation (BDR) and Paris Basketball, among many other sports federations and national teams.

Kölner Liste® certification is particularly important for competitive athletes: it reduces the risk of unintentional anti-doping violations caused by contaminated food supplements.

Quality you can verify

  • Made in Germany—manufactured according to pharmaceutical GMP standards
  • Kölner Liste® certified—independently tested for doping safety
  • ELAB Analytic GmbH—regular independent quality testing
  • Official ATP Tour partner—trusted at the highest level of professional sport

Scientific background: micronutrient absorption

The importance of optimised micronutrient intake is well documented in nutritional science. Important studies supporting the principles behind cellular nutrition include:
